"In 2007, I had only dreamed of running a Marathon as one of life's goals. When I heard about ROCKS and coach Amy Eutsey, I was encouraged. I realized sometimes you just have to step out and not look back with trepidation or worry about the 'what ifs' and just do what feels right. Since 07, I have run with ROCKS in both the half Marathons and full Marathons each year they were offered. Why? Because the 'team' unity of ROCKS is CONTAGIOUS. Friendships were built, it was fun, overall fitness improved, and monies were raised for the smiling faces of Talbot County children who have meaningful opportunities after school! What a wonderful experience. Thank you Amy, Lea Ann, and 'team ROCKS' runners. You ROCK!" --Alisha
Coach Lea Ann and Carolanne"This time last year Coach Amy convinced me I could run a half marathon despite having NEVER run before. With the support of my friends, family, fellow Marathon ROCKers, and the AMAZING Coach Amy & Coach Lea Ann I did indeed run the Virginia Beach Rock N Roll 1/2 marathon. I even ejoyed myself! I cannot imagine what my summer would be like this year without training with them again." --Carolanne Brennan
"This is my third time running with Easton ROCKS, so I am testimony to what a great team it is! We are just regular folks--not young, elite athletes. The coaches and other support people are AWESOME!! Three years ago, I went to the initial informational meeting to see what Coach Amy had to say, but I was NOT at all about to actually sign up for such a time-consuming commitment. I am a mom of two young boys--5- and 8-year-old handfuls, and I am a veterinarian. I am good at multi-tasking, but I didn't think I was that good! I really thought this Galloway running method that incorporates walking into the marathon training sounded sensible, and...the rest is marathon addict history!"--Carine

"I was inspired by people, places, things, thoughts, words, you name it. You cannot run this marathon and not be completely changed in some way. I saw our nation’s capital like never before. I saw photos of those who didn’t make it "home." I saw moms running for sons, dads running for daughters, you name it. I ran in memory of young people who have passed away not because they were bad people, but because they made bad choices. I truly believe in the ROCKS's motto: Running to the aid of Talbot County youth. With God's help and support from wonderful family and friends, we did it!" --Laura
"I know there are other people in this program who have similar stories to mine. All I can say is Amy and Lea Ann are both inspiring women and wonderful running coaches. And if you've ever thought you couldn't do something like a marathon, you just haven't met the Easton ROCKS coaches yet, and you haven't let them teach you how to push yourself to accomplish something you thought was literally impossible. Marathon ROCKS has changed my life." --Carol
